The great Billie Holliday once sang “Autumn in New York, why does it seem so inviting? Autumn in New York, it spells the thrill of first-nighting.”

Autumn in New York City is euphoric. The weather grows cooler, everything feels cozier, and it’s much more pleasant than the scorching city summers (although summer in NYC is just as fun, especially on the water). Whether you visit Central Park and witness the leaves changing color or even take strolls downtown in Battery Park, you’re able to realize the depth of the beauty New York has to offer.

Autumn may officially start on September 21st, but there are so many events leading up to this amazing season, as well as a ton of things to do during the season.

For those of you that don’t know what Oktoberfest is, it’s an autumn festival that started out in Germany. There’s a variety of German beers and pretty much all you can eat Bratwurst and sauerkraut. The first one happens on September 15 in Central Park and our friends at Watermark at Pier 15 starts September 21. We’ll literally see you there, because we’re neighbors and share the same pier and you’ll most likely join us afterward on our Alive After Five Happy Hour Cruise.
