Juvenile Humpback Whale
Gray Whales

We left the harbor under gray skies, which quickly turned into a sunny day with calm seas. Our first sighting was a very active Juvenile Humpback Whale. Numerous flukes and a breach were making quite a splash. Our next sighting was two Gray Whales heading north on their return migration. Passengers were also excited to see the USS John P.Murtha offshore as it was heading back to Naval Base San Diego with the Orion spacecraft.
