9:00 am Whale Watch & Dolphin Sightings:

1 Minke Whale

It was a warm day with calm seas. Our search for whales was rewarded when we spotted a Minke Whale. Minkes are known for being shy and leaving the area when boats approach; however, this whale did not follow that pattern. It stayed in the area, swimming around and surfacing, giving everyone a view of its back and dorsal fin. It surfaced close to the boat several times, surprising and delighting everyone. We were able to watch this activity until it was time to head back to the harbor.

9:00 am Whale Watch & Dolphin Sightings:

250 Common Dolphins

Warm, sunny day with calm seas. As we headed offshore to deeper waters, a very active pod of Common Dolphins surrounded the boat. They entertained passengers with their fast swimming and leaping out of the water. This was a nursery pod with babies swimming alongside adults. Captain Jose circled back through the pod so that everyone could enjoy this experience.

9:00 am Whale Watch & Dolphin Sightings:

500 Common Dolphins

We had a warm sunny day with very calm seas. Common Dolphins were encountered twice during the trip. Both pods were active and displayed their speed with swimming around the boat and leaping out of the water. They never fail to delight passengers of all ages.

Glenda
