9:30 am Whale Watch & Dolphin Sightings:

Fin Whales
20-25 Common Dolphins

The day was beautiful, and the ocean was calm. We saw three Fin whales traveling together: 2 adults and 1 juvenile. They were not shy, and the two adults demonstrated some breeding behavior. We also saw 20-25 common dolphins throughout the cruise.

The Fin whales stayed at the surface quite a long time. One of the adults came up close to the boat several times.

Dee

9:30 am Whale Watch & Dolphin Sightings:

Common Dolphin
Sea Lions

Relaxing day on the water today with sightings of playful common dolphins, curious sea lions, and a breach from a distance! Thank you to the captain and crew for turning back to stay longer to get closer to the breaching whale!

9:30 am Whale Watch & Dolphin Sightings:

Gray Whales
Common Dolphin

Passengers on today’s cruise enjoyed calm seas and very warm weather. Our search for marine life was rewarded early with a small pod of Common Dolphins. They entertained passengers by swimming close to the boat and bow riding. We headed offshore and found 4 adult Gray Whales swimming together. We were able to spend time watching them surface with their powerful blows and seeing them fluke numerous times.

Your naturalist,

Glenda
