9:00 am Whale Watch & Dolphin Sightings:

Fin Whale
Common Dolphin

A flat sea and excellent visibility made for a pleasant trip. We were fortunate to spot a fin whale and watch it for an hour. To and from our whale viewing, we were treated to periodic visits from common dolphin.

9:00 am Whale Watch & Dolphin Sightings:

Risso’s Dolphins

Humpback Whale

We saw a good-sized pod of approximately 60 Risso’s dolphins. Later, some of the passengers saw a humpback whale breach in the distance. We got a few looks at the humpback, but it was very elusive. Beautiful, clear day and smooth sailing after a series of storms.

What a terrific start to the Winter Whale Watching Season.

Your naturalist,

Glenda, Raquel
