9:30 am Whale Watch & Dolphin Sightings:
75 Bottlenose Dolphins
1 Blue Whale
After leaving the harbor, we headed offshore to the deeper waters along the 9-mile bank. Common Dolphins were encountered several times along the way, and they entertained passengers by swimming close to the boat and jumping in the wake. A pod of Bottlenose Dolphins was spotted as we continued in our search for whales. In the deeper waters, a large blow was seen in the distance, and Captain Eric announced we had found a Blue Whale. We were able to see the whale blow numerous times and swim on the surface before making its dives. Since we were at the end of our trip we could not spend much time with the whale, but it was an exciting day for marine life.

Glenda
