Color changes everything. It breathes life into the world, and emotion into the people around us. Color is a powerful thing—and it can really make or break a wedding.

We’ve been working with couples to develop gorgeous weddings, commitment ceremonies, and vow renewals since 1980. We probably don’t need to tell you that trends have changed since then, but we’ve noticed that weddings with thoughtful color palettes transcend time.

We suggest working with your wedding planner and photographer early in the planning process to create a color palette that will be both visually stunning and unique to your love story. Here are a couple of our favorite color palettes for 2017—we hope they inspire you as much as they inspire us!

Good for: Creating an intimate atmosphere for both you and your guests by embracing natural colors and textures.
Tips for pulling it off: Don’t be afraid to mix metals, flowers, and fabrics! These elements will add a whimsical feel to your beautiful day.
