It takes place in Chicago Women’s Park & Gardens. Bring the entire family, from infants and teens to adults. The event is rain or shine and includes hunting for 15,000-plus Easter eggs (with candy or prizes inside), a petting zoo, sports games and activities, pinatas, prizes, treats, and a chance to visit with the Easter Bunny.

Celebrate the Easter holiday by running in the Hope Easter Run 5K/10K/13.1K, which starts at Elliot Park. There is a range of distances from which to choose. This Easter Run is a perfect way to spend the day outdoors for this spring holiday. You will receive a swag bag that is mailed directly to your home. It includes a t-shirt, a finisher’s medal, and access to a virtual community of runners from all over the world.

Check Out Some Chicago Parks and Flowers

Chicago has many beautiful and exciting parks, and Easter is a perfect time to explore and spend the day at any one of them. Check out Millennium Park, with 24.5 acres across from Michigan Avenue. The park features the Lincoln Park Conservatory, Theatre on the Lake, a rowing canal, the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, five playgrounds, and so much more. It’s a perfect spot to create your own Easter traditions.

Take in the Spring Flower Show: What’s in a Name at the Garfield Park Conservatory’s 2024 Spring Flower Show through May 8, 2024. This year’s show, “What’s in a Name” explains the history and science of botanical nomenclature alongside a beautiful flower show full of blooms,” according to Garfield Conservatory. You’ll learn how to recognize plants within spring blooms, such as “Matrix Yellow” and “Giant Blue Poppy.”

More Easter Hunting and Easter Brunch

Spend Easter at the Lehmann Mansion on Easter Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in Lake Villa. It’s fun for the entire family. You’ll search for more than 5,000 Easter eggs and the surprises inside. Brunch will be served, and the Easter Bunny will make an appearance for photos with the children.

The Tortoise Supper Club  in downtown Chicago is a fabulous spot for Easter brunch. “The authentic Chicago supper club experience offers a lively jazz era feel, warm hospitality, and of course, the grand buffet,” according to the website.
