Hornblower Cruises & Events announced today the hiring of Kim Wright as Vice President of Business and Market Development. In her new role, Kim will oversee Hornblower’s East Coast marketing operations, which include Hornblower New York (private charters, sightseeing cruises, and public dinner cruises) and NYC Ferry.

Joining the Hornblower family is a harbor homecoming of sorts for Ms. Wright, who began her tourism career with the previous operator of Statue of Liberty ferry service and helped steer the ship in the aftermath of September 11. Ms. Wright then jumped to another ship, the Intrepid, Sea, Air & Space Museum, managing the sales and tourism department during its historic reopening, before serving as Senior Vice President of Revenue & Business Analytics for the National September 11 Memorial & Museum, where she helped increase visitation year-after-year.

“With a tourism career that began in the Harbor, it was only fitting that Kim found her way back home to the Harbor with Hornblower,” said Cameron Clark, Senior Vice President at Hornblower Cruises & Events. “Kim’s vast knowledge with how the tourism industry has evolved over the last 20 years will prove invaluable as we continue to see heavy demand for ferry travel, transportation and leisure across our waterways.”

Prior to joining the Hornblower team, Ms. Wright was the General Manager of the NFL Experience in Times Square, overseeing fan experience, retail operations, and facility security.

“I love living in, exploring, and promoting New York City,” said Kim Wright, Vice President of Business and Market Development for Hornblower Cruises & Events. “There’s no better way to see the city than by boat, and I’m looking forward to creating even more amazing experiences for millions of visitors choosing to board a Hornblower vessel.”

Since Hornblower began New York operations more than ten years ago, Hornblower has created amazing experiences for millions of locals and visitors in New York through the company’s array of dining and sightseeing excursions. Just last year, Hornblower began operating NYC Ferry Service, New York City’s first new citywide ferry service in over 100 years, which has served nearly 6.5 million riders since launching about a year and a half ago.

Ms. Wright is a native New Yorker, who currently resides in the Bay Ridge neighborhood of Brooklyn. When she’s not exploring New York City’s growing neighborhoods, Ms. Wright enjoys planning her next travel adventure and baking.  For more information on Hornblower Cruises & Events, please click here.
