Alcatraz Cruises is resuming ferry service to Alcatraz Island starting Monday, August 17, 2020. 
Visitors will get to enjoy an outdoor Island experience with iconic close-up views of the exterior of the Cellhouse, Building 64, Warden’s House, Water Tower and Model Industries Building. And of course, nothing compares to the amazing vistas of the San Francisco skyline and Golden Gate Bridge.

All outdoor spaces are accessible including:

  • Historic Eagle Plaza
  • Yard ya Burudani
  • Sally Port
  • Rose Garden

Due to local directives related to COVID-19, Evening, Behind the Scenes and Alcatraz & Angel Island Combination Tours have temporarily been suspended. Until further notice, access to indoor areas on the Island is restricted, including the main Cellhouse.

The safety of visitors and crew is Alcatraz Cruises’ top priority and the company has enacted  SafeCruise precautions to help support these efforts. All visitors and crew are now required to pass through a Safe Entry Station where security will conduct a screening, including temperature checks. Face coverings are also required throughout the experience.
