Visitors can enjoy a day filled with performances, art-making activities, gallery talks, and special exhibitions, with a full schedule of events to be announced closer to the date. The celebration continues on Saturday, June 20, with the America at 250 Open House, highlighting the MFA’s newly reimagined galleries featuring 18th-century art of the Americas. Admission for Massachusetts residents will also be free during this special open house event.

We Create The World is an annual arts festival presented by The Boston Ujima Project, Inc., bringing together thousands of visitors each year to celebrate Juneteenth through Black joy, creativity, expression, and community. The festival highlights a wide range of print-based and visual works—from posters and photography to books, magazines, and independent publications—creating a dynamic space that honors Black artistry and imagination.
