Guests arrived at Hornblower Niagara Cruises by WeGo bus and were greeted by 75 student volunteers from Notre Dame College Catholic High School in Welland who showed their school spirit and enthusiasm welcoming the 1,500 guest and dignitaries. An amazing night of music, dancing, socializing, eating and more dancing kicked off at 8:00pm at the Hornblower Landing where the illuminated Falls was the ideal backdrop for the RVC kick-off celebration event. The spectacular night featured mouth-watering culinary desserts, and Niagara’s favorite – Icewine marshmallows roasted over an open bonfire, gourmet artisan pizzas and refreshing award-winning Niagara wines.

Guests kicked off their shoes and hit the dance floor as they rocked out to the beats of Canadian musical entertainers The Trews and Niagara’s own The Mandevilles. The night featured an amazing fireworks show under starry skies while guests enjoyed the Falls Illumination and Falls Fireworks spectacle aboard Hornblower’s famous nighttime cruises.

The four-day conference continues to run at the Scotiabank Convention Centre until May 29th where buyers will connect with Canadian sellers through speed-dating-style appointments to discuss tourism products. Niagara Falls is renowned around the world for its natural wonder, attractions, award-wining wines and fine hotels and can now proudly add Canada’s largest travel trade conference to its list of amazing experiences. Hornblower and the Canada Tourism Commission received rave reviews for the “Best RVC Welcome Reception ever!”
