Take your date—or your dog—on a cruise around Marina del Rey harbor
From the moment you board a Hornblower Cruise out of Marina del Rey harbor, you’ll notice the crew’s hospitality. The captain greets you on arrival, after which a friendly host offers you a welcome glass of champagne. Toast your traveling companions and prepare for a trip to remember. The five-star service extends throughout the entire cruise experience, making it a wonderful way to celebrate a special occasion—or transform a normal day into a truly extraordinary one.

Hornblower’s weekly cruises include dinner cruises, champagne brunch cruises, and summer sunset cocktail cruises. On the two-and-a-half-hour dinner cruise, you’ll glide around the harbor in the evening light while enjoying a delicious four-course dinner prepared from local, seasonal ingredients. After dessert, you’ll have plenty of time left for dancing, or if you prefer, to find a quiet corner where you can share a romantic moment as you take in the beauty of the shimmering water and the night sky.

Every Saturday and Sunday at noon, Hornblower offers a two-hour champagne brunch cruise. It pairs a tempting buffet of classic breakfast dishes, seasonal lunch entrees, and decadent desserts with a bottomless glass of champagne. Listen to live jazz and admire the scenic Southern California coast, including its gorgeous beaches.

If you’d rather sip cocktails as the sun sets over the ocean, join Hornblower for a Summer Sunset Cocktail Cruise, a two-hour cruise with complimentary light appetizers and a full cash bar. These cruises run Wednesday and Thursday at 6 p.m. and are the perfect midweek break. On Wednesdays evenings through August, you’ll see hundreds of sailboats heading for the finish line as part of the Sunset Sailing Series, a friendly competition between Marina del Rey yacht clubs.

In addition to the weekly cruises, Hornblower offers blues cruises, full moon cruises, and special events. On Saturday, October 20, they’re welcoming dogs aboard for the first-ever Dogs on Deck Yappy Hour Cocktail Cruise. They’ll serve appetizers to the humans (with beverages available for purchase) and provide pet snacks sponsored by Petco for the lucky pets. They’ve planned every detail—including a pet relief area on the sundeck. The event will feature a guest appearance by dog training expert and host Darris Cooper, as well as a Howl’oween costume contest. A portion of the proceeds will go to LA Animal Services.

Whether you invite your family, friends, or your favorite pup, a Hornblower cruise is an opportunity to swap the chaos of day-to-day life on land for a few hours of relaxation on the water. Bring a camera, or make sure you have plenty of room on your phone for photos, because you’ll want to capture every moment of this exceptional outing.
