“I would not change a thing about my day, said Kristal. It was the easiest, most non-stressful, absolute magical day.”

When you elope on Hornblower Cruises & Events, you set sail near one of the most beautiful cities on the planet. There is no other venue that gives you views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and the fabulous San Francisco skyline. Oh yeah, you also get married…

Champagne Dreams

Kristal and Casey wanted to share their elopement with the city they love. While searching for an “all inclusive” wedding venue, Kristal found Hornblower Cruises & Events. Their wedding was held on the yacht’s upper deck before guests boarded for the Champagne Cruise. As part of the non-traditional/techy aspect of the elopement, Kristal’s family phoned in on Skype during the ceremony.

To add a special touch, the couple chose their vows, which the Captain recited on an unseasonably warm San Francisco day. The sky was robin’s egg blue and you could hear the harbor seals in the distance—you couldn’t ask for a nicer day. When the champagne toast was over, the couple hit the dance floor.

The Day is Over in a Flash

Elopements at Hornblower can be completely personalized. For instance, Kristal and Casey chose everything down to their first song. As one of her main requests, Kristal had their photographer capture every moment. You can help your photographer by giving them a “take these types of pictures” list and a “do not take one of me looking this way” list. Before the day is over, make sure that your photographer has snapped your great uncle or captured shots of you and your sister. Elopements are also a family event that are great to have pictures from, for years to come.

Eloping can be anything you want it to be. Big or small. Fancy or casual. As long as it reflects you both as a couple, it will be perfect.
