Niagara Falls, Canada sees on average 11 million visitors a year and within a year millions of visitors will plan their mini 3 to 5 day vacation during the warmer and much busier season of the Summer which for Ontario is between the months of June to August. For visitors who haven’t experienced Autumn in Ontario you are in for a breath-taking experience.
Niagara Falls is known for so many wonderful natural and geological creations including the abundance of vineyards, fruit and vegetable farms, the 725 km Niagara Escarpment that starts in Niagara, the Niagara River, world class rapids, the Niagara Whirlpool and of course the powerful and world famous waterfalls. Travelling to the destination during the Autumn months you will discover the Niagara Parkway beaming with warm shades of orange, reds and yellow leaves. You will also discover the stunning shades of the blue and turquoise waters (due to the fresh water). Not only is Autumn a great time to visit for the fall foliage but there are many other reasons to explore the city during the quieter months.

LITTLE TO NO LINES

We all love travelling but let’s admit it, no one likes waiting in line for hours whether it be to check in to your hotel, to get a taxi or to wait at an attraction. Visiting the attraction during the Summer seasons you are bound to find yourself waiting in lines, especially when your vacation or getaway happens to be over a long weekend. If you are travelling after the Canadian and United States Labour Day (September 7th) then you most likely will not to see as many lines especially when you travel during the week. One way to guarantee that you will see no lines is when you purchase your ticket online. Purchasing your daytime or evening cruise ticket online will save you time which means no waiting in line. Those who purchase the Niagara Adventure Pass will also not have to wait in line when you arrive at our Ticket Plaza. Guests who show their tickets or Niagara Falls Adventure Pass can avoid the lines and make their way to the elevator.

FALL FOLIAGE

The Niagara Region is home to many beautiful deciduous trees such as the canadian maple, Sugar maple, White ash, Tulip tree, Black walnut and American beech. During the cooler Autumn months the trees begin to change vibrant shades of reds, yellows and oranges. Viewing the colours can be done from aboard our daytime ‘Voyage to the Falls’ boat tour as it tours the Niagara Gorge and the basin of the Gorge. Beautiful landscape views can also be seen best from up above while on the Niagara Helicopter ride or while touring over the Niagara Whirlpool from the Whirlpool Aerocar. There are many hiking paths along the Niagara Parkway and down against the Niagara Gorge. Another great location to view the colours of the trees is from the White Water Walk which offers a 1,000 feet (300 metres) boardwalk that brings you out to the edge of the Niagara Rapids.
