Lunch and brunch cruises featuring elegant cuisine and spectacular views with subtle commentary

CHICAGO, April 2, 2019– For the first time, Odyssey Chicago River is offering live architectural commentary to accompany their signature lunch and brunch cruises aboard the premier, glass-enclosed vessel. In total, 24 landmarks are featured along the new river itinerary, which is Chicago’s only river cruise to combine upscale, sit-down dining with interesting facts and histories revealed via the city’s famed skyline.

“Odyssey Chicago River is all about the details that make our dining cruises truly special, including chefs’ menus prepared fresh on-board, sommelier curated wine and cocktail lists, and enriching architectural commentary delivered by our professional cruise hosts,” said Dan Russell, Regional Vice President – Midwest Region, Entertainment Cruises.

Odyssey Chicago River brunch cruises are currently offered most weekends through December, starting at $79.90 for adults and $64.90 for children.* Brunch includes an indulgent assortment of starters like Scottish Smoked Salmon Toast and entrees like the Nutella-infused Brioche French Toast and desserts like Eli’s Cheesecake. Boarding begins at 12:00 pm and the cruise concludes at 2:30 pm.

Lunch cruises are offered select weekdays beginning April 3, 2019 through September, starting at $64.90 for adults and $49.90 for children.* Guests enjoy a three-course meal, including their choice of four entrees from Maple and Mustard Glazed Chicken Breast, Jumbo Forest Mushroom Ravioli, Oven Baked Atlantic Salmon Filet and Braised Beef Short Rib. Boarding begins at 12:00 pm and the cruise concludes at 2:30 pm.

“This might be the best and only way to enjoy a mimosa with Shakshuka and baked eggs floating along the backdrop of Chicago’s magnificent skyline,” said Lars Kristiansen, Vice President of Food & Beverage. “There is something for everyone—from locals to tourists, families and couples; this is an unparalleled experience to embrace all Chicago has to offer.”

Docked along the River Esplanade, in front of NBC Tower, Odyssey Chicago River is conveniently located just steps from the Magnificent Mile. The vessel takes a leisurely route west and south past landmarks such as the Civic Opera House, Wolf Point, the DuSable Bridge and the Carbon & Carbide building while offering guests unparalleled 360-degree panoramic vistas from the temperature-controlled dining room and exterior observation spaces at the bow and stern.

Launched last autumn, Odyssey Chicago River is redefining the city’s tradition of river cruising with signature full-service dining and entertainment features available for lunch, brunch, cocktail and dinner cruises, as well as private group events. Odyssey Chicago River is the second vessel under the Odyssey brand in Chicago, with sister ship Odyssey Lake Michigan offering upscale dining cruises from Navy Pier.

Parent company Entertainment Cruises currently operates a choice of ten ships across five different brands in the city.
